Daily meeting about integrate third party chat API.
A conversation in an IT company’s daily meeting, an employee named Tony, and a Product Manager named Lucky. Tony is working on integrating 3rd party chat, but having trouble - you figured it out for me. Some problems are solvable, some problems are not, can you figure out the details for me. At the end of the session, Tony chose a deadline date to complete the work. And Lucky assigns a new job if this chat is blocked somewhere, or finished, there is a job.
Details
Lucky: Good morning everyone, let’s get started. Tony, I hear you’ve been working on integrating the 3rd party chat. How’s it going?
Tony: Good morning Lucky. I’ve been having some trouble with it. I’ve tried a few things, but I haven’t been able to get it to work properly.
Lucky: Okay, let’s see if we can figure this out together. What seems to be the problem?
Tony: The main issue is that the chat messages are not being delivered to the correct recipients. They’re getting mixed up and going to the wrong people.
Lucky: That’s definitely a problem. Have you checked the integration documentation to see if there’s anything we missed?
Tony: Yes, I’ve gone through the documentation several times, but I still can’t seem to find a solution.
Lucky: Hmm, okay. Let me take a look. (pauses for a moment) Ah, I think I see the issue. You need to add an identifier to each message so that it can be properly routed to the correct recipient.
Tony: (looks relieved) That makes sense. I’ll try that right away.
Lucky: Great. And if you run into any more problems, don’t hesitate to ask for help.
Tony: Thanks, Lucky. I appreciate it.
Lucky: No problem. (checks his notes) Now, if the integration is blocked somewhere, or if you finish it, we have a new job for you. We need to implement a new feature that allows users to send images along with their chat messages.
Tony: (nods) Okay, got it. I’ll work on that as soon as I finish the integration.
Lucky: Perfect. And just so we’re clear, what’s your deadline for completing the integration?
Tony: I was thinking of aiming for the end of the week. That should give me enough time to get everything done.
Lucky: Sounds good. We’ll check in with you at the end of the week to see how it’s going.
Another Conversation.
A converation, same context. But the difficulty this time is that the third party chat company does not allow too much customization into the integrated chat interface. Only the desired field can be added, changing the color. The font type, spacing, arrangement between fields cannot be changed. And the next thing Lucky gave Tony was to convert another Landing Page from the figma design to html, and use tailwinds. There are different parts of the page that need to be moved. And Lucky asks Tony to estimate the time.

Lucky: Good morning everyone, let’s get started. Tony, how’s the integration with the 3rd party chat going?
Tony: Good morning Lucky. I’ve been working on it, but I’ve run into a roadblock. The company doesn’t allow much customization of the interface. I can only add the desired fields and change the color. I can’t change the font type, spacing, or arrangement between fields.
Lucky: (nods) Okay, I see. That’s a bit of a challenge. But let’s see if we can work around it. Have you thought about adding custom branding to the chat interface to make it look more like our own product?
Tony: Yes, I’ve considered that. But I don’t think it’s possible within the limitations set by the chat company.
Lucky: Alright, we’ll have to make do with what we have then. (checks his notes) Now, moving on to the next task. We need to convert a landing page design from Figma to HTML, using Tailwinds. There are different parts of the page that need to be moved. Can you estimate how long it will take you to complete this task?
Tony: Sure, I can take a look. (pauses for a moment) Based on the complexity of the design, I would say it will take me around a week to complete the HTML conversion and make all the necessary adjustments.
Lucky: Okay, that sounds good. Let’s aim for a deadline of next Friday. We’ll check in with you midweek to see how you’re progressing.
Tony: No problem, I’ll get right on it.
Lucky: Great. And if you run into any difficulties, don’t hesitate to ask for help.
Tony: Thanks, Lucky. I appreciate it.
